FFA February Recap

FFA is a great program for students to get involved in, not just for themselves, but also for the community. The month of February was a busy one for our FFA Chapter. We held our FFA Week, which runs nationally in every state. We did all sorts of lunchtime activities including Ag Trivia, a guest speaker from the fire service department, and games in the library including Giant Sorry, Giant Jenga, Spikeball, Giant Uno, and Giant Tic-Tac-Toe. On Thursday, instead of having a lunchtime activity, we had an all-day event called the Amazing Race, which is a mix of carnival games, a race, and teamwork. Every period, all ag teachers brought up their classes to the farm for the race, and all of the students were able to participate. It was very successful and everybody had a great time. On Friday, the FFA officers and advisors prepared a big breakfast for all of the staff and teachers. Also, the students in Ag classes wrote letters of appreciation to all staff members to make them feel special and wanted at our high school. FFA genuinely cares about all of our KV students and staff, and even our community. Being able to be a part of a club that cares so much is truly a wonderful experience.
