FFA is one of the largest pieces of our Kern Valley Campus. So far this year, they have held a Welcome-Back-BBQ, a Baked Potato Sale on homecoming night, the fourth annual Haunted Barn, as well as speaking competitions and Chapter Meetings. In November, they held Greenhand Initiation to welcome all new members of the FFA, such as freshmen or first-time members. This month, there was a December Chapter Meeting during lunch, where there was hot cocoa and cookies to decorate.
Also starting on December 13th, the FFA has started a new community service project to bless the kids of Kern Valley High. They purchased 138 brand new hygiene items and packaged them with ribbons and handwritten notes from the officers. All items are available to kids in need of toothpaste, toothbrushes, perfume, cologne, face wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, loofahs, and body wash. FFA is extremely dedicated to our community and wants to make a lasting impact on our high school and our community.
