Kern Valley’s GATE students had the opportunity to take a field trip to visit Fresno State University on November 7th, exploring the career paths provided at the school. These paths range from human care services, to technology, and even criminal investigation. Students toured the school for about two hours before taking time to eat at the in-school food court and have a look in the bookstore. After this, students then traveled to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo which contained more common zoo animals like giraffes and tigers but also gave home to rhinos and warthogs as well as plenty of bug, bird, and aquatic species. Overall, this field trip served as not only an educational encounter but also a fun experience.
