“One cannot be brave who has no fear.”

Is a line from Marissa Meyers’ novel Renegades. The first part of a three-part series with books Archenemies and Supernova this book kicks off the series with a bang. The book, titled after an organization in the story, is focused around “prodigies” Nova Artino also known as Nova McLain and Adrian Everheart as well as Adrian’s renegade team. In the fictional world of Renegades, prodigies are their version of superheroes or Marvel’s mutants, people with superpowers and supernatural abilities. The books follow Nova’s journey from villain to hero as she infultraits the renegade headquarters and falls for the son of the renegade leaders Adrian. This book is an incredible read and is worthwhile for anyone who wants a spin on the classic superhero genre.
