Hispanic Heritage Month (2021)
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month everyone! The celebration of Hispanic heritage month starts on September 15th and ends on October 15th. Some celebrations that you can do during this period of time include making classic Latin- or Hispanic-based food dishes, supporting a Hispanic- or Latin-owned business, or taking a Latin-based dance class. The purpose of celebrating Hispanic heritage month is to recognize the contributions and achievements of Hispanic American champions who inspire us to achieve success.
There are many cultures represented during Hispanic heritage month; for example, Chile, Mexico, and most Central American countries are commemorated for their independence from Spain. Fun Fact! The Law Library of Congress has compiled guides to commemorative observations, including a comprehensive inventory of the Public Laws, Presidential Proclamations, and Congressional resolutions related to National Hispanic Heritage Month. Hispanic heritage month is a time of celebration and pride, so join in and support!
